We had an enjoyable weekend at Cala Gran, despite the rain. My daughter enjoyed the pool and it was warm enough. Busy but we found around lunch time not too bad. Despite other bad reviews we enjoyed the food at Mash and Barrell, ok prices, decent pub grub. Caravan was very clean. Arcades are great with lots of tickets to swap for prizes. My only complaint is lack of parking we couldn't find a spot outside our caravan on one day and had to drive round for a bit. Parking always packed near reception. Farmer parrs is good and Blackpool circus- for a rainy day. Fleetwood was disappointing and a bit sad. Lytham St Anne's is lovely.
I come here several times and absolutely love the place, cala gran is very family orientated. Caravan was very clean with fresh bedding supplied. Fleetwood is only round the corner and blackpool is only bus ride or tram ride away. Yes drinks can be expensive but hey your on holiday. Sunday I was queuing up for the carvery as it opened and my God was it worth the wait, I had the king size carvery which was excellent value, Jeff the chef is such a funny character and you can tell he likes what he does and a great asset to cala gran. Check out was busy but still had traditional breakfast which was enough for me and my husband had the big breakfast which he polished off. See you soon
